The Washington Mayfair is a fabulously located hotel and an excellent choice for all types of traveller, offering exactly what you would expect from a distinguished Mayfair property, especially one that started life in 1913. Major renovation has retained the elegance of its original Art Deco design but introduced roomier accommodations, air conditioning and high tech communications. The small lobby leads onto an adjoining bar area, which provides substantial extra seating. The 123 guestrooms are simply but stylishly decorated in cool blues and cream, giving them an airy feel. The furniture is mainly light wood and many rooms have impressive arched windows, which are double glazed and almost full length. The en suite bathrooms are also in very good condition. The restaurant is situated on the lower ground floor and is a large but warm area decorated in rich reds and blues.
